[ When the video feed clicks on, Namsoon looks rather ruffled up: his clothes are all askew, and there are signs of a bruise beginning to purple on his right cheek and a cut along one of his arms. There's a Mienfoo sitting on his lap, looking very excited!! to be out and about; it can barely seem to sit still. ]

I have a question. The Pokémon we’re partnered with... they aren’t supposed to attack you, right? [ there’s a pause, and then a sigh -- ] I don’t think she meant to, but she was very -- enthusiastic, when I let her out of the ball... They’re pretty strong, aren’t they? Even though they’re so small. 

[ For a few moments, he seems to zone out, staring blankly and not saying anything. Rather abruptly, though, he snaps out of it after half a minute or so: ] I was wondering, though... do they really enjoy fighting? And do we have to battle them? It just seems kind of...

[ He trails off, changing subjects abruptly: ] I think I need a band-aid.

[ "a martial artist who just happened to wind up with Fighting-type"... so maybe he was destined to end up with a Fighting-type too. ]

... I see. Then I think maybe there is some purpose behind it... maybe I'll ask other people sometime, and see what they think.

[ Yeon, too, is practically vibrating with enthusiasm. She speaksveryquickly and kind of makes up some pronunciation in places where the words don't ram together smoothly, but she's mostly understandable: "Me too!! I don't remember the last time - ? I think that maybe right after I was just an egg - ?"

There's a short pause before she goes on -- "Hey!! You're on an adventure too, right, right? Is it fun?" ]

[She really wants to know about this selection process just as much as she wants to know who even decided to bring her to this place.] Certainly a mystery worth cracking! Either way, I couldn't have asked for a better starter.

["I am and I love it!! We aren't very far but I get to fight as much as I want and Master even taught me a few fighting stances! Though I think she's unaware that they're better suited for human fights and not Pokemon hee hee." She giggles until she's caught off guard by Allenby's palm descending upon her forehead and ruffling her head fur. "--Aaah!"]

That's reassuring to hear. [ he smiles slightly, looking down at his partner. ] But I guess if there's some reason we end up together, it makes sense that we should get along well.

[ Yeon is alarmed by this!! What's going on? "Are you okay?! Are you hurt -- ?!" ]
